60th Anniversary

Today we celebrated what would have been my grandparents 60th anniversary. Unfortunately my grandpa passed in May but we still got together to celebrate my grandma and grandpa's amazing life together. My grandma's 3 sisters that are still with us and some of their children made the trip from California to be here for the special day along with my Aunt Jane & Uncle Gene who came from Arizona. After eating some really good food, my Aunt Judy read some stories that my grandma wrote when she was a young Woman. Truly amazing to hear about the rough times growing up in that day and age. And then my Aunt Judy made her entire family that was present sing some songs...that I remember singing on our way to the camp grounds my grandparents used to take care of. Grandpa and Grandma Walker used to live in Garden Valley across the street from the Mormon camp grounds. We used to go up there to visit and camp on the weekends. I remember riding up with my cousins and singing those old camp songs...even before we got to the campsite. Good times! It was great hearing them sing those same songs today but Monica and Angela did not want to get up and sing. But they come from a family of singers...they sounded great!
